Accessibility

Last updated February 16, 2026

Routines365 is committed to making our app usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We believe building good habits should be accessible to everyone.

Our Approach

We design and develop Routines365 with accessibility in mind, guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. While we are continuously improving, we strive to meet or exceed these standards wherever possible.

What We Do

  • Use semantic HTML and ARIA labels for screen reader compatibility
  • Support VoiceOver (iOS) and other assistive technologies
  • Maintain sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds in both light and dark themes
  • Provide text alternatives for all non-decorative images and icons
  • Ensure all interactive elements are keyboard and switch-control accessible
  • Support Dynamic Type so the app respects your system font size preferences
  • Avoid relying solely on color to convey meaning — streaks and milestones use text labels alongside color indicators

Known Limitations

We are aware of areas where accessibility can be improved and are actively working on them:

  • The breathwork visual animation may not fully convey pacing information to screen reader users — audio cues are provided as an alternative
  • Some canvas-based share card images do not have full text alternatives — the underlying data is available in the app
  • The progress heatmap calendar uses color to indicate completion levels — we plan to add pattern fills or text overlays in a future update
